OLYMPICS
deBotech is proud to support our US Olympic Sliding Teams. Through our advanced manufacturing techniques and racing know-how, we provide leading-edge equipment to help our country and the athletes reach their dreams of winning Olympic Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals. For the past decade Hans has been personally involved in producing the fastest, light-weight and structurally-sound sliding equipment. It is his personal passion to help these dedicated athletes reach their personal goals by providing the best equipment, using his knowledge and experience with composites in racing applications.
In 2002 he was asked to design and build a boblsed using composite materials. Hans researched the Olympic rules and regulations and produced the advanced carbon fiber sled bringing his knowledge of light-weight racing products, techniques and experience to deliver the sled on-time to the 2002 games. deBotech has also worked closely, over the past several years, with Protostar and Machintek to produce fast and light-weight skeleton pods and saddles for the United States Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation. Most recently, deBotech formed a strategic alliance with BMW North America to build the fleet of 2-man carbon fiber sleds for the men and women's US teams. We also partnered with racing legend Geoff Bodine to design and build the 4-man BoDyn Bobsled of 100% carbon fiber for the World Cup Series and the Olympics. As such our USA bobsled and skeleton teams have had unprecedented results on the 2013/2014 World Cup Tour taking home a record number of medals and setting track records in the process.
As USA Today states, "The U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation delivered outstanding results....It is the best Olympics for the USBSF on foreign soil." As per the USBSF website, "The USA Bobsled & Skeleton Team captured 71 medals in international races and six medals at the 2014 Oympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia for a historic 2013-2014 season."
